Lastly, an uber entertaining email from my officer. =D

Subject: Competition Time - Naming the Meeting Rooms.

Dear all,
As you know we have quite a few meeting rooms and calling them 'meeting room one', 'meeting room two' and so on, is not very memorable.
We would like your suggestions on what we should call the main meeting rooms on the first and second floors. There are a maximum of 8 meeting rooms to be named.

Please send me your suggested theme/room names by Wednesday, 12th September and we will select the best entry.
There will be a bottle of bubbly for the best suggestion!
Best of luck!
Regards,
Dim

Reply 1, from a very handsome foreigner in our office, unfortunately a himbo or lamer, you decide:

I'll suggest Italian fashion designer

Valentino, Balenciaga, Cavalli, Dolce, Gabbana, Ferragamo, Moschino, Prada, Versace, Zegan...

For one floor and French Fashion designer for the other floor :

Cardin, Chanel, Courreges, Dior, Lacroix, Gaultier, Givenchy, Hermes, Lanvin, Saint-Laurent, Rykiel.

Regards,
Nic

Reply 2, a patriotic but ultra creative(?) & much smarter guy whom i do not know:
Being Scottish, I would propose naming the rooms after Scottish Lochs.

Some of my favourites are:
Loch Awe,
Loch Crinan,
Loch Earn,
Loch Leven,
Loch Lomond (the largest, and therefore suitable for the largest meeting room),
Loch Lubnaig,
Loch Ness (the second largest and also the home of "Nessy"),
Loch Venachar.

They are easier to pronounce than you think. Below is a link to a bigger list in case my theme makes it, but my specific choices do not.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_lochs_in_Scotland

And if you wanted to separate the two floors, you could always name one floor after Lochs, and the other after Mountains (Which have the prefix "Ben")

for example:
Ben Cruachan
Ben Lui
Ben Nevis
Ben Vorlich

Here is a list of Scottish mountains (well the Munros anyway)... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Munros

Regards,

Ian

Reply 3, can't lose out to patriotic guy but boring female:

How about some Singapore-related names e.g.

Stamford Room
Raffles Room

Ex-Presidents of Singapore
Sheares Room
Yusof Room

Areas/Streets/MRT stations in Singapore
Sentosa
Orchard
Shenton Way
Somerset
Newton
Scotts
Bugis
Marina Bay
Lavender
Queenstown
Dhoby Ghaut
Woodlands
Riviera
Farrer Park
Little India
Chinatown

Beth

Lastly, Reply 4, from my officer, which was only sent to our team. As the saying goes 'If you can't beat them, join them!':

so far we've had names of fashion houses, scottish lakes, london streeets, healing crystals, planets, 7 dwarfs, famous golf courses, founding fathers of s'pore, MRT stations (with "closing door"alert, etc

my list is better: now comes with pics to place on meeting room door. no broker can make mistake which room to go. LOL. (btw, i had fun preparing this email!)
