wat happened?

About 1-2 months ago, in my ex-company...

My then-colleague just bought Jay Chou's latest music album. Hurriedly, i transferred them into my iPod, so that later on the way home, Dear can listen in the car. =D

In the car...
I happily played Jay Chou's songs for Dear to listen.

.
Dear... is... bewildered...
He skips every song after listening for less than 1 minute.

Dear is really bewildered... and getting traumatised...
He does not believe that the songs are sung by Jay Chou.
So i said: "It's Jay Chou's voice ar..."
He then asks me: "Are you VERY SURE that these songs are from Jay Chou's latest album?"
I replied: "Yes, Dear... It's REALLY is his latest album."

He complains: "These songs sounds so kiddish."
He muses: "Where are his nice songs? His touching & emotional songs?"

Then he proceeded to change the current playlist to Jay Chou's old songs playlist.

And never again, was Jay Chou's newest songs ever heard in the car.

He is THAT devastated.

Why do i not feel the Christmas spirit?

Why do others i know, feel the same way as i do?

Or is it cuz i've grown out of it?

Or as one grows older, being shouldered with more burden and responsibility, one can no longer celebrate festivals with a light heart?

It used to be my favourite festive.

And it still is.

But where has all the joy & cheer gone to?

Guy is having bak-kut-teh at MS, happily chatting with friends.

Guy sees Integra on the road, thinks: Integra, i like..
Expression: delighted & appreciating the car.

Guy sees P-plate, thinks: P-plate also like Integra. haha.
Expression: smiling-knowing look cuz of similar likes.

Guy sees gal driving alone in the car, thinks: Walau eh... Female sia...
Expression: pleasure-mix-with-wary cuz car can attract opposite sex but feels that female drivers should be barred on the roads.

Guy sees Type R sticker on the side of the Integra, thinks: WHAT THE F*#K?!
Expression: jaw-dropped, speechless & incredulous cuz feels that who in their sensible mind will let a P-plate driver drive an Integra Type R, furthermore a char-bor!

small updates

i've been quite busy with work recently cuz am doing month-end reports thus not much time to blog. there is so much to learn and my boss is just so impressive with her knowledge that she is willing to share with me.
making me realised that although initially i thought that it was only diplomas which barely touches the surface but who knows that, degrees only touches slightly more deeper than diplomas.

i just signed a 3-years membership with California Fitness cuz i've got no classes for both studying & driving anymore, and i wanna lose weight. not one to idle on weekdays' evenings so now i've got exercising classes. i enjoy the sweat-it-out feeling during classes. and i perversely enjoy the bodyaches after working out. haha.

brought my family out for a seafood dinner with dear to celebrate mummy-dearest's birthday.

celebrated dearie yvette's birthday. silently loving this close friend of mine and wishing her all the best.

went to m'sia for 1 night last weekend for grandpa's birthday celebration.

my 1st on the road driving experience is driving grandpa's old car. a 25-years-old car driven on the uneven & dimly-lighted roads of m'sia, with my 3 sisters and 3 cousins in the car, with no p-plates displayed & with my license in sg.

i am not proud to say that i can't park for nuts.

boggled over what to buy for christmas and also monetary issues.

can anyone teach me how to be more patient, more forgiving, less short-tempered & less cuttingly rude? i seem to have forgone mine for an armour shield.

=D finally, my good news!

One of my driving instructor had mentioned that it had better rain on the day, i take my driving test.

Apparently he said that i drive better in the rain, cuz i am unable to see cars through the heavy downpour, thus i do not panic.

Our inside joke on my 4th lesson. =p

It did rain today but it was no heavy downpour nor was it a small drizzle.

After 26 lessons, i am proud to announce that..

I've passed my driving test on my 1st attempt.
Total accumulated points: 16

.

So proud of myself.
*gives myself a pat on my shoulder*

a gentle reminder

I am happy with my life now.

So i shall not complain.

And be content with what i have.

Things come & go,

Just like people.

I refuse to be affected by it.

Bad stuff just like to hover around,

like people no longer in contact,

and even bad issues.

Keep it impersonal.

Let it go.

That's the life lessons i've learnt.

But yet i wonder:

Why is it so hard to give up hope?

To let hope die & never rise again?

When that's my blanket of shelter,

to protect me from past hauntings,

and pain inflicted unknowingly.

I will stay firm on my beliefs,

for i can see clearer now.

Been wanting to blog about a few things but i was
1) lazy (it's in my nature),
2) busy with work (i had resigned),
3) busy with my social activities (learning driving and meeting up with friends during weekends), and
4) tired (cuz i am drained?)
whicheva way you wanna read it.

So now, it's too late for me to talk about National Treasure, an U.S.A. reality show (a mix between The Amazing Race and Survivor). I had wanted to show the Youtube clip but alas, the video has been removed due to copyrights issue. duh!

GangQinPu=PianoScores The link is given by my sister, Serene. After watching The Secret by Jay Chou, she asked her friends if they had the music scores Jay Chou played in the movie cuz she said that she wanted to learn.

However when I asked her to play the music pieces for me, she's currently too busy playing MapleStory to learn the high level of difficulty piano pieces. She has even asked me to spread the word that whoever helps her complete her MapleStory, she will pay that person S$50. Do note that S$50 is quite a princely sum of money to her. Afterall, she is only 13 years old this year.

Friendster deleted my wonderful testimonial for Gwen, and i can't seem to get back the impromptu inspiration to write the EXACT SAME testimonial for her.
I was re-writing my testimonial for her with the initial mindset to post it here then i changed my mind. I will post it on her Friendster instead, but i will share the adorable pictures which are attached together with her NEW testimonial.
Cuz it's darn UNIQUE & cute and everytime i see these pics, its makes me go: aw... it's just so cute...






I shall end here, although i still have a few things i wanna write about. But Gwen's new testimonial has dried up my writing juices for the day.
