Ok, to start on the shorter topics 1st, so if i lose focus, i can continue the entry with a Part 2! Haha!
My Bali holiday trip with Kelvin
The long-overdue photos are already uploaded into my imagestation, just that i have not started on the captions. And captions are important cuz they can tell a story without me writing an entry.
Once done, i will post the link.
Company's Dept Retreat to Phuket
I was so looking forward to it but now due to unforeseen circumstances, i am not going anymore.
The very 1st time, our managers open the Retreat to involve support staff. I was so happy! Counting down to the days the trip would arrived. Although the trip was initially postponed for a month later, none of my colleagues or my mood were dampened. But now, all the anticipation for nought. I can only stay in Singapore as others enjoy.
It was supposed to be my 1st time going to Phuket! To stay at JW Marriot (5-star hotel!) with a room for myself and I could also ask my friend along, for all that was required from my friend was to pay for her own air-ticket cuz we would be sharing the room together.
Neither do i have the chance to experience whitewater rafting for the 1st time too.
Furthermore, EVERYTHING, except shopping, were to be on the Company's expenses.
And it was also supposed to be my 1st time in participating in a Company Retreat.
In the past, i did NOT even bother about Company's events (Annual D&D / Family Day / etc) nor colleagues' gatherings (dinner after work / bowling or meeting up at East Coast Park during the weekends). I never went to any of it at all. The most i ever did was going to Big Boss' house during CNY, in my 1st job. Only once & never again.
During then, I chose not to mingle with them cuz i felt that they were only colleagues to me, nothing more. But ever since working in my current Co, i no longer want to feel or be detached from my colleagues.
Oh! Last year Nov, i was thinking of a destination to go for a short holiday in Dec. Phuket or Krabi? Krabi or Phuket? In the end, i decided to opt for Krabi & forgo Phuket. So when i heard that the Retreat was to be held in Phuket this year, i was overjoyed! Too happy, too soon.... i suppose...
Now i am still missing this trip. T.T
Jaye's Phi Phi Islands, Krabi Trip
Jaye, my colleague, shared her holiday photos with us. And the beach there is absolutely gorgeous!
My resolve to go Krabi next year has strengthened!
Earlier i mentioned about deciding between Phuket & Krabi, and finally choosing Krabi as my holiday destination. Then i realised that Dec was in the midst of Krabi's monsoon season (which ends in Jan). So i thought of going to Krabi in Feb this year instead. Well, i shelved the plan again, this time to Feb next year, cuz during then (Feb 07), i was still having night classes and i did not want to miss any classes. It was my final year le, too much at stake.
Before i digress further, let me show you the pics now! Maybe after seeing the gorgeous beach, you will be tempted too. Then we can plan a group trip! Haha!
A sea-shell..
Don't be deceived!
Very clear, right?
Screensaver, anyone?
So clear! So aquatic blue! So many fishes!
Someone amidst of fishes! COOL!
Now do you understand why am i so determined to go Krabi? =D
SW's Marriage Proposal
The following true life story is based upon my male colleague, SW.
It will most definitely, i think, 'spoil the market' and 'up the scales' on how much or how far a guy should propose marriage in the future. So are you sure you wanna read on??? *sniggers*
It will thoroughly eliminate the following types of proposal. Horrendous or cheesy or lazy or blah? You decide.
- 'Let's go see houses.'
- 'Let's apply for a HDB.'
- 'Let's set a date with ROM.'
- 'Do you think it's time for us to settle down?'
- Bring the gal into a jewellery shop & asking her to choose a ring. Worse still, immediately choose wedding bands.
- Asking 'Auntie, is it ok with you if i marry your daughter?' infront of your girlfriend. *smacks forehead*
- Replying 'No need propose one la. Will get married then will get married. She dun want to get married without a proposal, then dun marry lo. haha!', when friends ask him when he intends to propose to her, infront of her. *JERK-ARSEHOLE*
And perhaps the following marriage proposals will be the NORM.
- Public marriage proposal.
- On-bended knee proposal.
- Planned surprise proposal.
- Televised marriage proposal.
In whichever combination, you like. eg. Most recently, televised an on-bended knees marriage proposal in public on National Day. Planned, indeed. But planned to be televised? *shrugs* I don't know.
Now it is..........................
Going overseas for a holiday and taking the chance for a surprise marriage proposal while in a hot air balloon (at least 150metres above ground level) with the clear blue skies as backdrop, and a HUGE banner with the words 'Will you marry me?' laid down upon the lush greenery below...
Gosh! Lotsa planning involved & required far in advance. To liaise with the hot air balloon owner and prepare the banner.
That is how SW proposed to his girlfriend!
The prefect romantic unique special marriage proposal... *sniffles & tears* so romantic and sweet... aaww...
Before it slips my mind: Apparently, it was also the hot air balloon owner's 1st time. His 1st time in arranging something like this, furthermore, it was a marriage proposal. =D
ps: Currently, if you are thinking of the DHL hot air balloon @ Bugis. STOP! Please kindly kick yourself
On the roads? You mean that the yellow and grey roads as the background of the banner is nicer than lush greenery?! That stopping traffic is a BIG deal? Well, maybe... And perhaps you could get it televised then the media can also help you with the co-ordination. If possible, get the costs sponsored too. -.-
Oh! You intend to let the banner be displayed on the walls of a tall building facing the hot air balloon. With special smoky and lighting effect like the Suntec fountain and also not forgetting the music and wordings too. -.- -.-
I am beginning to digress again. So i think i am tired already.
That is absolutely all for today!
