my mentor deserted me after coaching me for only 7 working days, for greener pastures..
am happy for him but am stressed and worried for me.
i dunno who to depend on now, cuz its a sales industry = selfish industry.
now i gotta work even harder to prove my worth, and i even need to fend my livelihood.
to give a very important 1st impression to the clients and be prepared.
to also be prepared when candidates counter question me...
am brain dead to blog. soo tired from work.
i've thought too much about work since i started work.

what luck!
My new office is located on the 34th storey, the main lobby's lift is at the 2nd storey.
On Friday, the story starts...
My mentor and i had to go for a client visit at 3.30pm at 1 Raffles Quay, which is a mere 10 mins from my office building.
At 3pm the fire alarm rang, but alas a false alarm... We left the office at 3.10pm to take the lift.
ALL THE LIFTS WERE NOT WORKING!!!! NOT EVEN THE CARGO LIFT!!!
Options we had:
1) Wait for the lift to operate. However, we had no idea on how long that would take. And we could end up being VERY late for the meeting.
0r
2) Walk down the stairs. And perhaps be only slightly late for the meeting.
What choice does one have when we are the ones visiting the client??? We are left with only Option 2.
In my 3-inches stilettos, i walked down from the 34th floor to the 23rd. But i felt that it was taking up much precious time, so i took off my shoes and continue to proceed downstairs barefooted. In total, it took us near 10 mins.
By the time, we met the client, it was 3.35pm. Luckily, he was a very nice fella.
However, inside his room, wearing my jacket, after rushing down the stairs and across the road to his office tower... As i was sitting there, my sweat steadily dripped onto my jacket.
Embarrassingly, i had to take out my tissue and wipe away the sweat. A few times.
This is my first client visit and it is definitely not a memorable experience. I really wonder what first impression does the client has of me.
Am i unlucky or what!?
ps: I'm so weak... My legs and hips muscles are aching once again...

I ordered items from Victoria Secrets with Sheryce. Thought VPostUSA is cheaper than other freight companies.
Actual Weight: 4.4kg
Vol. Weight: 9.7kg (the dimensions of the box)
And they charge by whichever is higher!!!
BLOODY HELL!!! I feel so cheated. Each kg is additional S$9 on top of a base charge of S$13.
And the vol. weight is freaking double of the actual weight!!!
I do not dare to calculate the total amount. Even though UOB credit card holders are eligible for 12% discount off shipping charges.
Money going out faster than i can say byebye.
My purse hurts. And my heart too. Do you know that with those money, I am able to buy more skin/face care products?
I hope they have a bloody good explanation to my email for them.

brief updates (Jan-Jun) - 1
It's been 7 months since i've updated my blog. My work has been killing me. You should know by now, i only write an entry when i'm at work. perhaps i should just close down the blog, maybe i am just not suited to have a blog.
or perhaps i can just keep everything to myself, since i'm beginning to be rather skillful at it.
*sidetracked*
anyway, in chronological order! however, its not completed yet.. =D
New Year's Eve
Went to Kel's friend's (Christopher) house for a large-scale BBQ, with loads of yummy food and simply too much drinks. Apparently, Christopher's family have a tradition of inviting all family, friends, church friends, etc for a BBQ on NY Eve at their house. So we the friends were supposed to bring an item to the BBQ, not entirely a potluck though. And we ALL BROUGHT ALCOHOLIC DRINKS! how predictable...
There i finally saw the Hello Kitty room (Chrisopher's wife's fave). I call it the Hello Kitty Shrine. Never ever seen so many Hello Kitty stuff in a room, other than shops.
And when i saw the kids' playroom, which occupied the entire attic. How envious i felt, cuz i did not have such a big playroom when i was young. It's basically every kids' dream. =D
Chinese New Year
Watched 3 movies in 2 days. Jay Chou's basketball show with Kel (movie was ok), Ah Long pte ltd (with Von, Vete & their family. that show is totally hilarous!) and CJ7 (with Von, Vete & their family, with some of our friends, and my sisters and cousin Victoria. i cried abit during the movie).
went home to sleep during those 3 days. other than the usual visiting, things were basically the same, i suppose. *shan't think of unhappiness*
erm, as for pressie, there was no gifts exchange. cuz earlier he went to Chicago (biz trip for 1 week) and got me a Coach bag. A very pleasant surprise cuz he usually is quite against my branded follies and yet he got me this bag in advance for my birthday present. Very advance, if you ask me.
Initially, he had intend to give me the bag on my birthday! Who does that?! And which gal will agree?! however, in the end, he gave it to me the 2nd day he was back in SG. =D
For being so nice to me, i later bought him the 3days pass to the F1 night race, for his belated Vdae present. I'm so easy to humor. =x
******* abit abrupt but i shall cont about other occasions on another day... =D *******

Went to Al Forno for dinner. everything was so standardized. thus i dun think i ever wanna have VDay dinner outside again. But no flowers this year though. And yes, i am complaining.

Bloody madhouse

KPE (Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway) Phase 1 is open today.
And I reached office at 9.30am! KNN..... -_-lll
I start work at 8.30am, being late for 15mins is fine. But NOT freaking 60mins later!
The beginning...
The trip on the ECP from Bedok to Tanjong Pagar, used to only take 20mins, max. So i usually reached office at 8.45am.
Later, the IR (integrated resort, or the CASINO) is to be built. So BIG & HEAVY & ULTRA SLOW trucks-loaded-with-sand started to invade ECP, when there were already CONTAINERS & BIG BUSES on the roads during PEAK hours. And so the journey took up 30mins, max. Gradually i reached office at 9am.
(Kel & I refuse to give up our precious sleep. Honestly, i have been pondering recently why is it that even though i no longer need to study or attend night classes, my lifestyle seems more packed causing me to be more tired compared to studying part-time? *digressing*)
Final straw: KPE to ease traffic on CTE & PIE
NNB.
To get to the KPE, one gotta use the ECP first. Journey to work on the 1st day of the opening of KPE Phase 1 took 45mins. (i overslept by 15mins cuz it was a Fri, and i din know of the KPE opening.)
Reached office: A record breaking 9.30am. How fashionably late can i get?
This is only Phase 1 of KPE. I simply "can't" wait for KPE to be wholly open. Time to take the MRT train again, it's more reliable.
Oh, i think i forgot to mention that currently, the number of cars in Singapore have crossed the half a million mark. Due to low COE prices and low upfront deposit payment. Sweet.
But hor... The number of the ERP gantries have increased and will continue to increase in the future, to include EVENING PEAK hours. And there was also a recent increase in the ERP prices.
hmm... So why the FARK is there still a BLOODY traffic jam in the morning?
Why not disallow the big vehicles to travel during peak hours to ease the traffic, especially on expressways?
Why not increase the COE prices to reduce the number of vehicles?
Why not scrap the low upfront payment finance scheme to further reduce the number of vehicles on the road?
Isn't this nice?
A perfect reason for the Government to place more ERP gantries and raise ERP prices but not solving the obvious issue which is that there are simply too many cars in Small Singapore area.
Or is it just better to benefit from the REVENUE it can generate for the economy?
Gosh! We may soon become the 1st country with a high volume of traffic jams but a small country area in size. Nothwithstanding the numbers of 'fees' we have to pass through &/or pay.
Ironic $ingapore.

stop asking so many questions la!

I SIMPLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND! Why do some people like to ask so many questions, especially when i am doing them a favour?
Why am i so fed-up?
Bcuz i asked some of my friends if they were interested in ordering nail polish or perfumes online, which was much cheaper. And some of them ask too many questions!
What type of questions?
1) how do you know of this website?
2) is this website reliable?
3) are the products sold real or fake? (when i ans them with REAL, some can still ask again 'sure anot?')
4) wat benefits do we have if we order from this website?
5) do you have any friends who have bought products from the website?
6) if yes, are they satisfied with the products? if not, why?
ARGH!!!!!!!!
Obviously, i would have checked if the websites i gave them were trustworthy sites that sold authentic products, before i asked my friends, right? By checking, it means that i have other friends who have bought products from the websites and they are very satisfied with it.
Who, in their right minds, wants to be blame for introducing their friends with fake or unsatisfied stuff, right?
Furthermore, why do i even bother asking my friends if they were interested in ordering the products anot?
Bcuz the prices were much cheaper and if we mass order, there could even be a bigger discount, for everyone to enjoy!
So caoz! I AM DOING YOU A FAVOUR LO!!!!
Walau eh! Not as if i got commission if you order lo! If i do earn commission, then kindly distance yourself from me and do not even consider me as your friend, ok?
Thus, if you are interested in ordering, just give me the orders. Kindly DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT ask so many questions. It makes people very pek-chek one, you know!
If you ask so many questions, i will only feel the following :
1) you don't trust me

Troubled sleep....
These nights, i have much problems falling asleep, i will toss & turn for around 30mins before i finally fall asleep. Other than that, i also simply can't seem to have a peaceful sleep throughout the night. For no reason, I keep waking up in the middle of the night and afterwards, i can't go back to sleep. Damn it!
Worst still, when i am having a good sleep, i end up being rudely awakened by a group of people who likes to chit chat under the void deck at ungodly hours eg 2am. I try to 忍 but in the end, i will call the police to 'get rid' of those people. Why can't they go to the kopitiam to chit chat? At the coffeeshop, they can talk loudly and laugh loudly as they wish. Bloody hyenas laughter! If this goes on, i will write to the MP! Hmph! Who the hell wants to listen to their conversations or even 'appreciate' their laughter! They surely know that their behaviour and actions will disturb the residents' much needed sleep but yet they continue to do so, just because maybe they do not have a day job. Bloody idiots! I mean, bloody irritants!
The lack of proper sleep makes me lethargic & super duper grouchy.
Pissed off!!!!!
